How come when I view my creation it is so tiny, especially the font in the text boxes? Even when I use 96 font I can’t see it unless I zoom way in. I have tried to enlarge everything but it still appears small and unreadable when presented.

Hi @JPertz, thank you for posting in the community! It sounds like the content scale of your document may be set to a small percentage.

If possible, can you please share the temporary Support PIN for this document? This will allow me to take a closer look at the issue you’re experiencing.

For more information on generating a Support PIN, check out this Help Center article. This Support PIN doesn’t allow anyone but Lucid Support to take a look at your document, so you are safe to post it here.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Did the support pin not work?

I figured out the objects but I cannot get the font to get big enough to read it. I disabled WebGL as an attempt at a solution but that did nothing. I have it at 96pt at it is still super small.

Thanks for sharing the support pin, @JPertz! Taking a closer look, I can see that the images and objects you’ve added to your canvas are very large and you can see the entire diagram even at 1% zoom. The default zoom level for Lucid documents is 75% with font size of 10pt which allows users to view their objects and text comfortably.

As an example, the screenshot below shows the default sticky note size compared to the size of a textbox in your document - the small yellow objects are the sticky notes.

To fix the issue you are seeing, I would recommend changing the size of your text to 10pt, then dragging a selection box over all the objects in your document and resize it so that you can view the text comfortably around 50-75% zoom.

I hope this helps! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you! That helped with the objects but you definitely cannot read the text without zooming in big time.

Thanks for giving that a try, @JPertz! I’ve created an example GIF demonstrating how to best fix the size of your content.

Adjusting your content to match the default zoom level and font size will help with customising your font sizes. If you find that 10pt font size at 75% zoom is too small, you can easily adjust this to suit your use-case.

I hope this helps! If you’re still experiencing issues with the font sizes in your document, please share a screenshot and brief description so that we can take a closer look!

Alternatively, if you prefer to discuss this in a private support ticket, please feel free to submit a ticket via this form and someone from our team would be happy to assist. Thank you!

Hi. I’m having a similar problem and troubleshooting hasn’t helped. My PIN is BviX67euTB72. As far as I can tell, my document is in a 9 pt font. I created it at 100% and it filled my landscape page with half-inch margins. I don’t know what I hit, but suddenly the size decreased and when I try to print, it will not fill the page. I tried your above suggestions - dragging a selection box, changing the font size to 10pts, and then viewing it at 75%. No change. This happened once before and eventually I was able to get the size issue corrected - don’t ask me how - but doing it that way means I have to move everything manually.  Please help.

Hi @VDeLong, thanks for adding to this thread! I was able to take a look at your document, and can see that your default font setting is set to 9pt, however, your default font size is set when no text is selected. Your shapes are currently showing that the text within is 67pt font or larger. Additionally, each square within the grid behind your content is technically a Letter size page tile, so your document is spanning several page tiles. I would recommend selecting all of the content on your page, then hold the Shift key while you scale the outside corner of your selection to make all of your shapes smaller. While you have everything selected and scaled within one page tile, you can adjust your font size to Auto, and the text will resize to fit within your shapes at their current size on your page tile. Please let me know if you have any further questions!
