Navigating the canvas quickly in Lucid is a must. Designing custom flowcharts brainstorming with your team or creating an Org Chart all require you to be proficient in moving around smoothly. There are a few different ways to do this in Lucid depending on the type of device you are using. Luckily we are here to help you get started moving around the canvas like a boss šŸ˜Ž

Spacebar Scroll šŸ”Ž

By pressing and holding the spacebar you can zoom in and out of the canvas by using the scroll wheel on your mouse or scrolling on your trackpad. Fun fact: you can also use the ā€œpinchingā€ motion on your trackpad to zoom.Ā

But the spacebar doesnā€™t stop thereā€“it can also be used to move around the diagram or board. Press and hold the spacebar then left-click and move your mouse to navigate your canvas in any direction you would like.

Right-Click Dragging āž”ļø

You can also move about your canvas by right-click dragging. You will see a hand grip the canvas and you will drag around where you would like to end up.Ā

Option Drag ā™Šļø

One last tip: By holding the Option key clicking and dragging an object Lucid will duplicate that object and now you can place it wherever youā€™d like. Itā€™s a bit of a time saver from the old school copy and paste.

And there you have itā€“you are now fully equipped to dance all around your Lucid canvas. If you still have questions, comment in the thread below and weā€™d love to assist.Ā Firm handshakes šŸ¤
