Cant create New Model in Azure - get a message “Something is wrong with the underlying subscription data. Try again after updating the subscription.

I have updated the data successfully on all Subscriptions but get the same message.

Hi @infraadmin, thank you for posting in the community. Would you mind confirming if this is your first time generating a model from this subscription or if it has worked previously?

Please try re-importing the Azure subscription and generating the model from the new data source. If the issue persists:

  • Check if other credentials in your Data Hub show similar errors.
  • Try importing in a private/incognito browser window to rule out any session-related issues.
  • Test importing a smaller set of resources from the same subscription and let us know if that succeeds.

I hope this helps! Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Hello, thanks for the information.

Re-importing works perfectly and I have successfully completed this several times - just the New Model creation is failing.

It use to work but won't have been run for 8 to 10 months.

Hi @infraadmin, thank you for the update! It sounds like re-importing helped resolve the issue with model creation, is this correct? Is the issue happening to newly imported subscriptions?

If the issue persists, could you please confirm how many subscriptions you are trying to create this model from? If you are trying to do this with multiple subscriptions, would you mind trying to create a model with fewer subscriptions and let me know if you're still having issues?

This will help us narrow down the potential cause of the issue you are experiencing. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
