I have a workflow imported from diagram.net by my IT team. Now I need to add more steps in the workflow but I am not able to connect the new shapes I added to the existing workflow.

Hi @EmmaCui, thank you for your post! Just to confirm, are you able to move or edit the objects from the imported workflow?

Would you mind also sharing a brief description of what happens when you try to connect the new shapes? This will help us better understand the issue you’re experiencing.

Thanks for your help! Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.

Yes, I am able to move or edit the objects from the imported workflow.

The issue is between the newly added shapes and the imported shapes.

When I guide an arrow out from the imported shape, it lets me create a new shape, but when I want to connect the new shape back to another imported shape, no dots will appear on the imported shape for me to connect to and the imported workflow appears to be greyed out overall (when I am dragging the arrow out from the newly added shape.).

Hi @EmmaCui, thank you for sharing a description of the issue.

Since this is related to a specific document, can you please share the temporary Support PIN for this document? This will allow me to take a closer look at the issue you’re experiencing.

For more information on generating a Support PIN, check out this Help Center article. This Support PIN doesn’t allow anyone but Lucid Support to take a look at your document, so you are safe to post it here.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
