I am trying to use Lucidspark whiteboard in Google Meet meetings.  I have installed Lucid in Meet, and have created a Lucid account. To clarify, I have never used it successfully, I’m trying to start.

When I try to open Lucid in Meet, (via “Activities”, selecting Lucid, “Get started”, and giving permissions), I get a message:

“Your Google account doesn't match a valid Lucid session. Log in to access your account”.

I am logged into my Google account, and logged into Lucid with my Google email. My account page shows I have a free Lucidspark plan.

(I’m doing this in Firefox on Linux. I previously tried in Windows, which didn’t work either - I got a different message there: Error 400).

Thanks for any suggestions!

Emma

Hi @emmab

Thank you for reaching out and sharing the details of the issue you're experiencing with using Lucidspark in Google Meet. I understand how important it is to have everything working smoothly for your meetings, and I’m happy to assist.

Based on your description, it seems there may be a mismatch between your Google account session and your Lucid session. Here are some steps to resolve the issue:

1. Verify Account Consistency

  • Ensure that you are logged into Google Meet with the same Google account you used to create your Lucidspark account. Sometimes, using multiple accounts can cause session mismatches.
  • Double-check that your Lucid account is associated with the same email address as your Google Meet session.

2. Clear Cache and Cookies

  • Clear your browser’s cache and cookies to eliminate any session conflicts.
  • Restart your browser after clearing, then log back into both your Google and Lucidspark accounts.

3. Test in a Supported Browser

  • While Lucid does support multiple browsers, for the best experience, we recommend using Google Chrome. If possible, try accessing Lucidspark in Google Meet using Chrome.
  • Ensure your browser is updated to the latest version.

4. Check Permissions

  • Confirm that you’ve granted all necessary permissions to Lucid in both your Google account and your browser. You can review these permissions in your Google account’s “Security” settings under “Third-party apps with account access.”

5. Test a Direct Connection

  • Open Lucidspark directly in your browser and create a simple whiteboard. If this works successfully, it indicates that the issue is specific to the integration with Google Meet.

If you’ve tried these steps and continue to experience difficulties, you can contact Lucid Support here: Submit a request – Lucid . You can provide the following details for a quick resolution:

  • Any error codes or messages received beyond “Your Google account doesn’t match a valid Lucid session.”
  • The steps you are taking when the issue occurs.
  • A screenshot of the error message (if possible).

I hope this helps!
