Hi all,

I have purchased the basic Lucidchart plan with only one license (under my current email address); however I could only put some comments on my documents that I created previously.

Do you know what went wrong on this case, or what should I do to gain full access of my documents?

Thank you for posting in the Lucid Community! Do you mind verifying the following: 

  • Can you verify that you are the owner of the document by going to Share > Manage
  • Additionally, can you verify that you are in the correct account by going to your user settings?


Hi @Kelsey Gaag, thank you for your response. Yes I am the owner, but only have Comment only access (top right) as per below screenshot.

Hi @Kelsey Gaag, yes I have tried to change my first name from Cosy to Ben, then the owner initial changed from CQ to BQ as per below screenshot. It is a bit unusual, isn’t it? Thanks for your help Kelsey.

Yes of course. So, to clarify the issue was with the sharing permissions / name change? It looks in the screenshot you are you still only have comment access.


I found that I cannot edit the document, only commenting even though I am the owner of the document, which I found it is a bit unusual… any ideas how to rectify it?

There are a few ways we can look into the issue further. Can you please send a temporary Support PIN for this document? This will allow me to take a closer look at the issue. For more information on generating a Support PIN, check out this Help Center article.

Also, is this happening in multiple documents or just the one?
