Hello there,

While using the latest version of the Android app I've found the following bugs:

  • Text is always fully capitalized
  • I can't enter carrier return (when pasted from clipboard the return will be treated as spaces)

This happens by using either the Microsoft SwiftKey or the Gboard

Refer to the video in this post to see the bug recorded from phone directly: Video link from Twitter post

Have a nice day

Good morning @Melvasul,

Thank you for sending this over, and for the useful video. I tried to recreate on my personal device, and I wasn’t getting the capitalized text. I recognize that I may need to check which type of keyboard I use on my personal device. However, I did see that there isn’t an “enter” option to break the text. I’ll escalate this internally to see if this is a bug. Thank you again for sharing your experience.

If I learn of a resolution sooner I’ll update you, and I’ll update when it is resolved.

Hi Shantel (:

I’ve tried using the GBoard and I’ve seen that the text isn’t always capitalised in the “text”

instead of the other Shapes

Now, from here I can safely write without being force to have uppercase

BUT

it feels like it’s not registered as a “text” because there’s no text prediction/autocompletion ttop bar of the keyboard] and I can’t even “select the text”

Hi @Melvasul

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Android app!

To address the issues you’ve mentioned, here are a few general troubleshooting tips that might help:

  1. Reinstall the App: Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app on your device, then log back in. This can resolve many performance issues.
  2. Carrier Return Issue: The issue with not being able to enter a carrier return could be related to the keyboard settings or app configuration. Try reinstalling the GBoard app or switching to the default Android keyboard to see if this resolves the problem.

If you're still encountering these issues, please feel free to reach out again, and we can continue troubleshooting.

Thanks again for your help and patience!

This video shows behavior using the default Android keyboard (Gboard ) after reinstalling the app and system reboot.

As you can see here there are all the other extra options with they (same) keyboard like text selecting/replace and prediction.

This all doesn't exist when using Lucidspark app (as from video and this ScreenShot)

Let me know if you need more info such as app/android versions and so on!

Have a nice weekend (:
