Hi.
I want to know if it's possible to update the email of a user through API.
Also whether it's possible to add a user to a group through API as well.
I could find anything related to user update here.

The User APIs enable the manipulation of Lucid users and their administrative roles therefore yes you should be able to update user's email address through API.
However at this moment it is not possible to add a user to a group through API.
