I am looking for a solution or API interface to import product stencils and create a rack diagrams and position product stencils.

(not sure how automated it will be if done with Lucidchart though... they seem to primarily integrate with Visio)

Thanks for reaching out in the Lucidchart Community! Lucidchart has a built in feature that allows to import Visio Stencils files (.vss .vssx and .vsx) to custom shape libraries. For more information about this feature please take a look at the Import and Search for Shapes and Images section of this Help Center article. Additionally we have shape libraries and templates for server rack diagrams – the shape library is titled "Server Racks" while the template is titled "Server Rack Diagram."

However unfortunately it’s currently not possible to create a rack diagram through automation in Lucidchart and we do not have a specific API interface that would allow you to do that. You can learn more about Lucidchart's Public APIs capabilities in this documentation. Use the menu on the left to find details about the specific functionalities of the API.
