I want to add a label to the bottom of the image. I have tried to accomplish this with grouping however this results in bad resizing behaviour. Specifically when I expand the shape vertically the space between the text label and the image also grows. Thus I start with this image+label:
And I end up with this image+label:
This is trivial to do with diagrams.net given it's one of the default built-in shapes. But I'd like to use LucidChart because it has better real-time collaboration features.

Thanks for reaching out on Lucidchart Community! Unfortunately the only way I can think to connect the text underneath an object is exactly as you described with grouping.
