Hello,

I created a Lucid diagram by choosing ‘new; then ‘template’ modified it and then invited 4 team members, by email name, to be collaborators; however, it seems the documents was shared much more broadly and I have not idea why.

Once I started getting requests to share I looked at managing the collaborators and indeed only saw the ones I intended.

I made it unavailable to everyone since I am not sure where the error occurred, then made a duplicate, but am afraid to share again until I uncover the root cause and would appreciate any insights.

Many thanks!

Hi Bijouxx,

First, can you double check in the share modal that the share link was not enabled? Just in case. The fact that you confirmed that only the people you expected were collaborators makes me think this wasn't a problem.

Otherwise, it sounds to me like it was not shared more broadly. Getting a request to share means the person had access to the document URL but not the document, and they asked for access to the document. So it is likely that one of the collaborators posted the URL somewhere public, and people clicked that and requested access.

Let me know if you think there is a different problem! Also consider telling your collaborators not to share it. They could very easily turn on link sharing, and then sharing the URL would grant access.
