Hello

Is it possible to secure one specific document with a password?

Hi there thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! Password protection is only available when publishing a document and is also only available for Team and Enterprise accounts. For more information on this please take a look at the Publish Your Document article in our Help Center.

Thanks Eric R for your comment. Is it also possible to secure a document directly? E.g. we are using the Lucidchart software with multiple colleagues but some documents we would secure with a password because the document contains sensitive information.

Hello

Thanks for following up!

As explained previously password protection is only available when publishing a document and is also only available for Team and Enterprise accounts.

At this time it is not possible to protect a document with a password if it is not published. Our Publish Your Document article explains how to protect a published document with a password when on a Team account.

Note that your documents are not public and therefore are only accessible to collaborators you shared them with.

However we're always looking for ways to improve Lucidchart and your feedback is the best way for us to do that. If the ability to protect a document without it being published is important to you would you mind adding your idea to our feature request form? Ideas submitted to this form are passed on to the product development team for their consideration.

As a growing company we take our feature requests very seriously as we are continuously looking for how we can make our product more useful and effective for our users.

Thanks for your request and apologies for any inconvenience caused!
