I am unable to add a display name to a custom shape, so it shows the shape and a name like other elements in Lucid. How can I achieve that?

Hi @ARKP, those examples are helpful! To recreate the experience of a name “label” that these other shapes had, I recommend grouping a text box containing the name of the shape along with the shape itself, then adding that entire group to your custom shape library.

Then, every time you use add this shape from your custom library, this label will be present.

Hi @ARKP, thanks for this question! To clarify, are you referring to the ability to hover over a shape in a shape library so that it enlarges and displays the name of the shape, like this hexagon example below?

If so, yes, this is possible! When creating your custom shape, after you click Add to custom shape library, you’ll be prompted to name your shape.

Then, when accessing your custom shape library from the Shapes menu, it will behave in the same way and display your custom name upon hovering.

Please let me know if I’ve misunderstood your question!
