When we create a Jira ticket, depending on the jira issue type, we have different default templates.
When creating Jira ticket from Lucid this template is not being set.

Is this a configuration issue that is preventing the ussage of templates?

Hi @matias.raimondo

Lucidchart’s Jira integration does not currently apply Jira issue-type templates when creating tickets. This isn’t a configuration issue but a limitation of the Jira API.

Which covers - the limitation arises because Jira issue templates (set via UI, automation, or apps) are not automatically enforced when issues are created via the API, such as from Lucidchart. If templates are essential, Jira-side automation can sometimes apply them post-creation.

Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!

Thank you @Humas1985 this indeed is very helpful. I will work on this integration and post creation automation to make sure we cover this scenario.
