Any chance to keep Lucidchart sessions alive longer?
Whenever I open a new window I need to log on again. Would be great to skip that process and save time.

Hi there  @Dominik Badger! It sounds like you're trying to find a way to stay logged into Lucidchart longer so you don't have to log in every time you open a new window. This can definitely be frustrating.  It sounds like it could be related to your browser or device settings. A few things to check:

  1. Browser Type: What browser are you using (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)? Different browsers handle cookies and sessions differently, which can affect login duration.

  2. Managed Device: Is your computer managed by your employer or school? Sometimes, IT policies restrict how long you can stay logged into websites for security reasons.

  3. Other Sites: Do you have to log in repeatedly to other websites as well, or is this just happening with Lucidchart? If it's happening with other sites, it's more likely a browser or device issue.

  4. Cookies: Check your browser's cookie settings. If you're blocking or clearing cookies frequently, that will definitely force you to log in again. You might need to allow cookies specifically for Lucidchart.

  5. Cache: Sometimes, a full browser cache can interfere with login sessions. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies and then logging back into Lucidchart.

  6. Incognito/Private Browsing: Does the issue occur even when you're using an incognito or private browsing window? If not, that might point to an extension or setting in your regular browsing mode that's causing the problem.

Have you tried any of these steps already? If so, what were the results?

Thanks, I’ll look into it.

So basically you’re saying if I log on to lucidchart, close the browser window, open a browser window, go to lucidchart, I should still be logged on?

@Dominik Badger I know when I use one account managed by my employer I have to log in each time the browser is reopened. But if I close Lucid but keep the browser open I don’t need to log in again. But that’s not the case on a personal account. So I think it depends on multiple factors. (Also, I’m always using Chrome, so that’s part of the equation.)
