  1. Can the latest version of mermaid be supported in Lucidchart?
    • With the current supported version, I am getting a few syntax error while testing out the default syntax from mermaid website.
  2.  Once the flowcharts have been created using the code, can we have the following features?
    • Conditional formatting to update the block, line (arrow) and text color, size, font style.
    • Provide an option to copy the generated flow into a new image so that conditional formatting can be applied as needed.

Hi @Rajath, thanks for reaching out!

Lucidchart currently supports Mermaid version 10.2.3. If you're running into syntax errors, it’s likely that the code you're using relies on features from a newer version. You can find the latest details in our Help Center article and refer to the official Mermaid.js syntax documentation to check for compatibility.

Also, thank you for your feedback. I have passed this along directly to our product team. Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to add!

@Richard U - Please advise that Mermaid 10.2.3 is almost 2 years old now and is lacking A LOT of features that could really help make LucidChart even better. For example, Mermaid supports 21 different types of diagrams today. Where as we can only design with 7 in the current supported version.

Is bumping the supported version anywhere on the Lucid team’s roadmap?

Hey @mitchellbyrd , great callout! Good news - we just updated Mermaid support to version 11.4.1 today, so a lot of those missing features should now be available.

Give it a try and let us know if you run into any issues. We’re continuously working to improve Mermaid support in Lucidchart.

@Richard U - Now THAT’S what I call support 😁

I’m really interested in some of the other diagram types such as gitGraph. Most everything else is just as or maybe even easier to design using Lucid’s UI. But creating git diagrams is just more efficient as-code with Mermaid, if you wanted my opinion.

Is that something Lucid plans to support in the future or no?

@mitchellbyrd Adding support for certain gitGraph diagram types is something we’re currently exploring. Stay tuned!
