Hi everyone,

I'm working on a software architecture diagram in Lucidchart and would like to add a metadata block at the bottom of the page—similar to a title block in technical drawings. This section should include information such as:

  • Document title

  • Author name

  • Version number

  • Creation/modification date

  • Description or notes

Is there a built-in way to do this in Lucidchart?
Are there any predefined templates or best practices for creating such a field manually or reusing it across multiple documents?

Any tips, examples, or links to community templates would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

These features can be found in the Insert menu in LucidChart. In a multi-page document, I typically create a Master Page with the header or footer that I want included. The master page contents will be set as the background for the other pages in your document.

Do you need more detail about either of these steps?

Add a Master Page

Thank you very much for your help — I will definitely try this out!

Using a Master Page as a background for headers and footers in LucidChart sounds like a very practical solution. I appreciate the tip with the Insert menu.

I’m not quite sure, though, whether there are any standards or guidelines regarding which information should be included and if there are any formatting requirements.
Do you perhaps have an example of a recommended format?

If I run into any issues, I might come back to you for a bit more detail. Thanks again!

Greetings
