Lior I

We need right to left capabilities for Hebrew or Arabic usage!

Our global firm would not ap[prove your software unless it supports
RIGHT TO LEFT writings by changing the language at the keyboard.

Hi Lior

Thank you for posting in the Lucid community! Our sincere apologies for the delayed response on this thread - I wanted to follow up in case this answer may still be useful to you and to provide a solution for other users who see this thread in the future.

Unfortunately what you are trying to do is not currently supported in Lucidchart.

However, we highly value user feedback. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:

Users have been raising concerns about RTL and Arabic language support for the past five years, as documented in the community notes. Despite this, the Lucid team appears to show no real intention of addressing these issues. I had been using other apps and recently returned to check on the progress here, but it seems nothing has changed. It feels like they simply don't care!

Hi @Mudffer, thanks for your comment. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, but we’re not able to implement every single idea, and submitting an idea does not guarantee that our development team will implement it. Some ideas conflict with other requests, while others might not make sense for the strategic development of our product. Additionally, creating a new feature might be a long process and we need to prioritize other improvements during that time. We commit to keeping you in the loop about our priorities and opportunities to share feedback, and in turn we ask for understanding that we see and hear you, even if we’re not able to implement every request.

If you’ve not already, please consider upvoting this request on this thread where we’re centralizing the conversation on this topic!

Hi @Micah I had a similar experience with Canva and Figma. Both apps responded positively to our feedback and made their apps support Arabic and RTL within months. I don’t think the job is very complex and it is essential for us. We rely on both apps to design our educational materials. Before Figma, we considered using Lucid, but found it doesn’t support RTL and Arabic language, and the exported SVG files don’t open in Canva. After 4 years, it’s still the same issue!

I hope this feedback helps prioritize these features.
