Hi there! My name is Will and I'm a product manager here at Lucid working on Team Spaces.
If you're using / have used Team Spaces we'd love to hear from you!
Some things we're interested in:
What are you / your team using Team Spaces for?
Are you linking to external documents or data in your Team Space?
Are you using any templates?
What do you wish Team Spaces could do that it can't do today?
Please post below if you'd be interested in speaking with us đ

I use the team space as a hub for all things related to my team - roster mission/vision links to lucid chart lucid spark jira confluence and sharepoint and more. I like that everything is contained in one spot but it was down for about a week when there was an issue with my space. I wish some of the components were easier to work with and would like to see the ability to add a table with multiple rows within the team space.
Hi Heather!
Thanks for your feedback! Would you be willing to jump on a quick call to chat through your use-case? We'd love to learn more!
I would love to upgrade to enterprise to try this but would prefer if i can try it first before committing to enterprise i also want to now what is the difference?
Hi Suleiry!
Unfortunately Team Spaces is only available for Enterprise at the moment although it seems like something about it has piqued your interest -- could you share more?
Thanks!
What are you / your team using Team Spaces for? Agile Ceremonies and central location to communicate
Are you linking to external documents or data in your Team Space? No this is just for team activities
Are you using any templates? We are using some Scaled Agile templates that we created
What do you wish Team Spaces could do that it can't do today? I think the functionality is great and can't think of any additional functionality at this moment.
@vince b Thanks for your feedback! Would be willing to chat with us further?
I've been playing with Team Spaces to see if it could serve as an easy place to be a central source of info for different teams. We have been utilising the Team Folders feature more since my company only recently got an enterprise account.
I like the idea of the Team Space but so far I'm finding it a little hard to use. The biggest issue so far is that I converted a Team Folder to a Team Space but now all the documents and folders are only accessible by going to the Team Spaces list and clicking the three-dot menu and then clicking on the Team Space Documents. There doesn't seem to be an easier way to get to that view. My expectation was that it would still show up as a Team Folder in the Documents list in the left nav. OR that when I click directly on it from the Team Space nav item that I would be taken to the view where I can see the associated documents rather than being taken directly to the Team Space board. So now I'm about to go see if I can either revert it from being a Team Space or I'm going to have to move all those folders manually back to the Team Folders area so that others can still access them while I'm testing out the Team Spaces functionality.
I also found the dynamic table a little limited and hard to use... but I think there have maybe been some updates on that? I think I noticed some changes for the better.
Have to tried clicking the 'View team documents' button on the Team Space tile (vs the tri-dot) to access the associated documents?
@will w I have not! I usually keep things in list view. I find grid view to be overwhelming and harder to navigate. It took me a second to realize even how you could see that view in your screenshot.
@lisa b Gotcha! In this case would it be helpful to have something like that 'View team documents' button in the screenshot in grid view too?
@will w .... I think my ideal would be for Team Space documents to be viewable in a similar way to other documents. As a user of Lucid that works across multiple teams and departments I need to be able to see all the Lucid content I have access to in a consistent way. RIght now if I convert a Team Folder into a Team Space.... then the documents stop behaving like other documents..... and that makes for a disjointed and confusing experience!
@lisa b would love to dig more into this any chance you'd be willing to hop on a call and chat?
Hi Will. Can you help us leave Team Spaces? This feature is unusable without being able to create new folders or copy docs from folder to folder. Copy-pasting is not an acceptable workaround since it will make us lose edit/ownership history.
IdeaâSeeking Feedback
Hi there, Iâm not a massive user of Lucid -- however, one thing that is so wildly confusing is that clicking on âTeam Spaceâ opens a document instead of showing the documents. This pattern is counterintuitive of it being a folder for containing other documents. It feels like itâs having an identity crisis on what itâs trying to be. I had to change the logo to remind myself! đ
If you want to create a âsource of truthâ document, may I suggest it be something users can pin within the folder instead?

I currently use Lucidchart for various purposes like process mapping, strategic planning, brainstorming, and task management. Team Spaces have been instrumental in facilitating collaboration and organization within our team.
We utilize Team Spaces as collaborative hubs for specific projects or ongoing tasks. It serves as a centralized area where team members can collectively work on diagrams, share ideas, and collectively contribute to various aspects of our projects.
Within our Team Spaces, we link external documents and data that complement our diagrams. This helps in providing context or additional information related to the diagrams without cluttering the visual workspace.
Absolutely! We rely on the templates available in the library. It helps us streamline our workflow. We frequently use predefined templates available in Lucidchart to kickstart our projects, especially for common processes, workflows, or planning sessions.
We just tried Team Spaces. Itâs not terribly useful for us. I like Lucidchart a lot, but the team spaces visual metaphor is very strange. I donât see the value of creating a top level visually focused compound document with a lot of sub documents.
Â
The metaphor breaks down, as it has no real relationship with how people communicate data with each other. The setup effort to create a âvisual wikiâ is not worth it in my view.Â
Â
I want to basically make a large group of documents available to and extended  and team folders is more useful in that. Â
Hi! Iâm a consultant at a health care org and my team uses Team Spaces as the foundation of our monthly consulting team huddles. We assign a different person every month to facilitate so theyâre responsible for making updates. Whatâs cool is that the archive feature lets us save notes from the discussion and we can label the frames by month to refer back if needed. A problem weâve come across, though, is the archive function hasnât been working the past few months. When we archive, it displays a blank canvas. Our workaround for the moment has been to copy and paste everything from the General Team to the blank archive page. Troubleshooting this would be a big help since members of my team are still getting familiar with the basics and I wouldnât want this to be an obstacle in that. Thank you!
Hi @Will W - Iâve joined a new team that is exploring the use of Team Space, but Iâm not sure that LucidSpark isnât the better fit. Why Team Space instead Spark? Distinguishing features I see:
Co-locate files in Team Content (Can I create new folders? We have a lot of internal Team Folder and external sources, so not sure we want this.)
Toolbar defaults - easier to create links, embedded links (Same available though, I think, in Spark when configuring individual items)
Archives (Is it meant to go blank when an archive version is created? The pinning prerequisite was unexpected. Spark would leave us with Revision History.)
Paths
I, too, have to think when using the entry navigation - particularly the Team Spaces list. Havenât used Lucid enough to find a flow navigating with the Team Spaces grid, or Team Space / Team Content grid or list.
Our company has recently moved over from a competitor product and have been playing around with the team spaces for the last few weeks. We are using it to store all boards related to the products our team supports. Our team, therefore, mostly goes to the team space to see the list of documents and have found it a little counterintuitive that you have to click the small link on the tile to go to the documents view. Clicking the tile should take you to the documents view and the default shared board should just be a document within that space. I have had to explain to many team members that they have to click the view documents link in order to get to all of our shared documents.
We use the team space feature a bit and have put most of our shared documents in the âteam contentâ folder. I find it a bit annoying that I canât directly reach this folder from the sidebar.
All other folders Iâm able to see in a list of other folders to âstarâ it, but I canât find a way to do it with the team content folder for a team space.
