Hi,

Using the Story Points quick tool you have already available in lucid we are able to update the value of the Story Points Jira filed automatically from Lucid board and  we want to change the value of other Jira fields from Lucid automatically during the Product Increment planning such as PI, Sprint or Feature Team.

Is it possible in any way to update this Jira fields from Lucid automatically i.e. when moving the Jira card from Sprint 4 to Sprint 5?

Note:

I know how to do it manually

Hi @GuillermoP, thank you for posting in the community! Unfortunately, only the Story Points and T-shirt size quick shape banks can automatically update details of an imported card.

However, we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:

Thank you for sharing your ideas and feedback in the community! Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the quick repply Leianne,

About only the Story Points and T-shirt size quick shape banks can automatically update details of an imported card. Is there a way to automate it meanwhile this functionality is added in the quick shape banks?

Explaining in more detail my request:

We have different columns (frames) where we are representing each sprint (including the team capacity and load) so it would be great that if we detect Jira item whose estimation (load) exceeds the capacity of that sprint when we move it to the next sprint column (frame) the Sprint value of the Jira item is automatically updated.

Let me explain this even more clear with a simple example and screenshots:

  1. Let´s imagine we have 2 sprints (iterations). Sprint 1 with a team capacity of 5 SPs and Sprint 2 with a team capacity of 10SPs.
  2. We have a task of 8 SPs initially considered to be implemented in the first sprint but since 8 > 5 SPs it does not fit on sprint 1 but it fits on sprint 2.
  3. So the task will be moved to Sprint 2. The expectation is to automatically update the Sprint Jira card to “<Project> - Sprint 2” value when the card is moved from Sprint 1 to Sprint 2.
  4. And obviously this update will be synced on Jira.
