Transfer owned documents when someone leaves the company

There should be an option in the dropdown menu for each user, in the same area as where you can choose to “Delete user”, that allows you to “Transfer owned documents to another user”. It would make it so much easier than having to use the Document Discovery Tool and then navigate back to the user.

I would like to have an option NOT to transfer deactivated user’s documents automatically to the pre-defined one user.

We use SCIM to deactivate user and it automatically transfers the user’s document.

We would like to do the transfer documents by ourselves using API to specific user (like the user’s manager).

 

As we don’t have this option right now, another capability we would like is that we can transfer a specific document folder (not all folders) and its documents from one user to another.

Then, even if the pre-defined user receives the deactivated user’s documents (stored in one folder), we can transfer that specific folder to another user.

 

I would appreciate it if you consider this feature and it will improve your product and its document management capability.

While I don’t have an update on this request at this moment, I can assure you that we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. Every piece of feedback is important to us and our product teams are regularly reviewing comments just like yours as they continue to research product enhancements and new features.

It would be extra useful if you could have a “manager” field in each user’s profile, and then we could have the option to transfer owned documents to a user’s manager when they are deactivated.
