Currently, only one scale/layer of dots is ever shown. This creates a rather jarring transition between dot scales. I’m unsure of the specifics of web graphics development, but it should be possible to fade in and fade out dots rather than only displaying them on one grid scale.

In case this is helpful, you can change your grid settings in Lucid to either dots or lines, and you can turn on/off ‘show grid’ as described in more detail here.
