Hello.

Say we used four different color sticky notes then chose Sort by Color. Now we have four containers grouping the four different color sticky notes. But when we want to add another sticky note to the containers it will add the last chosen color instead of the color grouped inside the container. What if the containers became smarter so if we want to add another sticky note it would automatically be the same color?
Yes I can duplicate the same color sticky note inside the container but then if there is text on them I have to delete it and type up the new text.
The idea is to make the container smarter so if the user wants to add another sticky note it would assume you want the same color since you deliberately grouped the same color inside anyway.

Hi Patrick,
This functionality is already available in Lucidchart through Conditional Formatting! Here are some steps for how you can get it set up.

  1. Switch products to Lucidchart if you aren’t in it already, using the product icon in the top-left corner.
  2. Open the “Conditional Formatting” panel from the formatting toolbar at the top of the page:

  1. Search for the desired container or row/column, as shown above.
  2. Modify the “then” clause to apply your desired formatting.
  3. Click “Save” to save your new rule.
