We're embedding a Lucidchart document into our GoCleary knowledge management page. The document is quite long, and currently, it defaults to showing the entire document upon embedding. This results in the content being too small to read without manual zooming.

We’d like to know if there’s a way to set the default zoom level to "fit to page width" instead of "fit to entire document." That way, users can read the content immediately and scroll vertically through the document, rather than needing to zoom in first.

Is there an embed setting or parameter we can use in the iframe code to achieve this?

Thanks!

@talithas someone else asked a similar question, so I want to direct you to their answer:

I hope that helps!

Hi @talithas

Thank you for posting in the Lucid Community! Have you tried changing the size of the embedded document? Additionally have you tried turning off the infinite canvas in document settings?

@aparrish While this is similar we’re unable to use the url embed as our company requires users to be logged in to view any canvases. If linked via URL it will result in an error loading.

@Kelsey Gaag Yes - we didn’t use the infinite canvas and have tried changing the size of the embed. This doesn’t change the default zoom unfortunately.

Hi @talithas

Thank you for the reply! After further testing on my end it looks like the isn’t possible with an embedded Lucidchart document. However, as a workaround, you can export your document, focusing on the relevant section and add to your page. Then you can link to the Lucid document via publishing or a share link.

In the meantime, I’ve converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.
