These fields are very useful because by looking at it we know if a diagram has been kept up to date or not and by whom. But unfortunately, this works for the whole lucidchart document. If for example I make a change in one of the tabs the date and name fields against other tabs get updated too.

I think it’s a good idea to separate them per tab.

Thank you!

The experience that I’d like to see with regards to “Last Modified By” and “Last Modified Date” is that it updates at the tab level vs. the document level. This will allow users to have easy visibility into the when a specific diagram on a particular tab was last updated and who made the changes.

On a similar note, for “Created By” and “Created Date”, it would be helpful to have those at the tab level as well - as it stands, it looks like every tab was created on the same date by the same person, regardless of when it was actually added to the Lucidchart. Again, this provides ease of visibility into who and when created different tabs in a Lucidchart document.

I’d like to also encourage development here.  We’ve also noticed that the “last updated” date and username update to anyone that opens the file/used the file - negating any usefulness the current implementation has.  (I’ve heard that read only users don’t change this, but our team all have edit access and they are the ones who care about that.)  Opening a file should not even be considered an edit!

We’ve had to resort to manually signing off or checking revision history, but it’s very cumbersome when we just want to know how stale a document is at a glance.  Combined with the aforementioned issue, when I have a document that I am sharing outside of Lucid (eg., a PDF for a 3rd party, or as a PNG for a report made elsewhere) it would be really nice if the updated-on timestamps we include didn’t have to be manually entered.
