Does Lucid chart have a formal approval process? I'm looking to be able to "lock" a document and have it sent out to a user for "approval". Once approved it would moved to an approved phase for that version of the document.

Thanks for posting in the Lucid Community! Yes document status is possible and can be customized per your account settings. Because you are on an Enterprise account you do have the ability to customize statuses that allow "locking" or "approval." I've included a screenshot that shows where document statuses can be found. You can also check our Manage Document Status and Custom Status articles from the Lucid Help Desk.

Hi Gretchen thanks for continuing this thread! Unfortunately this sort of automation and obtaining approval from stakeholders isn't currently supported in Lucidchart. However I certainly can understand how effective that would be for your workflow! Thanks for your post! Unfortunately, this feature has not been implemented yet but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. In the past, we collected feedback on our products via a separate form, which is what was linked above. Now, in order to make requests more discoverable so others can upvote them and add their own context, we use the Product Feedback space of this community to collect feature requests and ideas.
To promote this idea, please first search the product feedback space (with the filter Topic Type = Idea) to see if it’s already been submitted. If so, please add any additional details you’d like and upvote the request - this consolidation helps to refine feedback and properly capture the popularity of the request.
If no one has submitted the idea yet, create one of your own and include as much detail as possible as described in this post:
