Hi Lucidchart Team and Community,

I’m highlighting a limitation in Lucidchart that impacts individual users: the inability to import CSV files without an enterprise plan. CSV import is a basic feature, and it's disappointing that it's restricted, especially when many other diagramming tools, like draw.io and SmartDraw, offer it on all plans.

The growing use of AI for data-driven diagrams makes this even more crucial. Lack of CSV import hampers productivity and limits Lucidchart’s integration with AI tools. Opening this feature to individual subscribers would improve Lucidchart’s competitiveness and usability for modern workflows.

Thanks for considering this feedback!

@Wladimir J. A thanks for taking the time to provide this feedback.  I passed it on to our marketing team.  I’m curious, would you mind sharing a little bit more about your flow? How were you wanting to use csv import with Lucid’s AI tools? What was the end goal you were looking to accomplish?

Thank you Adam for following up and passing my feedback along!

My use case is actually pretty straightforward. I generated a diagram in ChatGPT, which provided me with the structure in a CSV format. I assumed that uploading this CSV file would be the easiest way to import it into Lucidchart, allowing me to refine and enhance the diagram within your platform.

However, when I attempted to upload the CSV, I ran into the limitation that CSV import is only available on enterprise plans. My end goal was simply to take the AI-generated structure from ChatGPT and continue working on it in Lucidchart without having to recreate it manually.

Thanks again for considering this feedback—I hope it clarifies my workflow!
