Hello.

What if you replaced those indicator lines with grey placeholders for more accurate positioning in the dynamic table?
Since everything adding has a square selection around it whether it's a post-it note or a circle it shouldn’t be a problem.
The issue right now is that you can drop a post-it note or a shape beside another object and unless you move it close enough to trigger the indicator line on the left side or right side of that object it will move above or below instead. This issue is prominent when there is an empty spot beside another object instead of moving an object between two other ones. There could be a grey placeholder instead and then the object could snap into place.

Thank you for your time. Bye.

First image is from Trello (the web version). The second image is from Walling (the web version). Both are from Apple Safari. This is the placeholder I am referring to that could/should replace the indicator line in the dynamic table.

This is from the Todoist iPad app. This is like the current state of the dynamic table in Lucidspark.

This is from the web version of Todoist on an iPad. This is what I would like the dynamic table to transition to.

You have to touch the purple indicator line on the left to activate it (first image) because if you center the sticky note and go an inch too high or low you will activate the top or bottom purple indicator line (second and third image). This problem is clear in the third image because the sticky note is centered in the second spot of the second row but letting go will trigger the bottom purple indicator line to move it to the third row even though the sticky note is not there.
Having grey placeholders to show where the sticky note would actually land could resolve this.

Omg…yes..
My “replace indicator lines with square placeholders” feature request, “introduce auto-resize for containers and frames” feature request and “swapping the spot of two sticky note” feature request look to be resolved soon with the new Assisted Layout feature that’s currently in beta.
It doesn’t work as expected when putting a frame around a dynamic table. The assisted layout doesn’t expand magically when you add another row or column to the dynamic table like it does when you press Tab or Enter to create new sticky notes. Will this capability be included?

Hi @patrickpereira1988, thank you for your comment! The capacity for a frame to expand when a row is added to a dynamic table is not included in the Assisted Layout Beta.
