Converting discussion Org charts - import fields containing links (urls) to detailed data (linkedin profile CV) into an idea.

In my source data for an Org Chart import, I have a URL for each node of the org chart.  After the import, I want to be able to click on a node in the org chart, and it opens the corresponding URL for me.

Upvoted. I would like to see this capability, as well. My use case is to include a link to the role description for each employee on a data-driven org chart, where there is a specific URL for each row in the dataset linking out to the appropriate role description, such that anyone viewing the org chart generated from the dataset can click the link in an employee’s box on the org chart to read the related role description.

Thank you!

Is there EVER any POINT to adding these ideas here? WE are encouraged to upvote etc etc etc but just as with this STAGNANT thread … nothing happens.

Hi @Mike Sanders QR RRSMR, thank you for showing your support for this idea. I can totally understand how seeing an idea sit for awhile is frustrating. I’d like to share more about how we use these community threads as feedback!

The product development team utilizes ideas in this community as a repository of feedback any time they’re researching a new feature. They often review new comments and ideas as they come in, so you can be confident that your feedback is making it in front of product teams.

In addition, each month, the community team shares the two most popular ideas (indicated by number of upvotes as well as detailed comments) to the product development team for review.

We also want to be honest in saying that your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, but we’re not able to implement every single idea. We are committed to keeping you in the loop where we can, and in turn ask for understanding that we see and hear you, even if the request has not been implemented.

The best way to show your desire for a feature is to upvote as you have here, and leave a comment with your use case and what you’d like to see. We’ll post in this thread with any new updates to share!
