I would love to see the MCP server support the Mermaid “diagram as code” feature of Lucid Chart. Many AI models are really good at using mermaid diagrams, and I would love it if they could then push those diagrams into Lucid documents via MCP.

Hello @rmmeans  - My name is Vera and I am on the product team at Lucid. Our teams are currently looking into our Diagram as Code functionality and the support for mermaid. I would love to ask you a few questions as we’re actively doing user research. Would you be willing to jump on a brief call with us? Here’s a direct link for scheduling: https://calendly.com/lucid-software/lucid-research-mermaid Thank you!

Currently, when trying to move mermaid diagrams into Lucid, the only way to do this is to push an image block via the MCP server.

This sucks for 2 reasons:
1.) The image must be hosted somewhere, like s3 because the API requires a URI.

2.) You lose any concept of shapes - it’s just an image.

What I would like is the ability for Lucid to interpret Mermaid syntax and render actual editable shapes. A tall ask, I’m sure, but this would be amazing.
