I would like to save Lucid Chart documents in MS Team folders. In this way, I could easily share multiple Lucidchart documents with my clients (who do not have a paid licence) & everyone can easily find the appropriate files in the folder structure that is currently used.

I already integrated the LucidChart app in MS Teams, but it seams that it is only possible to “post” a LucidChart document in a Teams channel and not to save it under “files”, so I can save it in the appropriate folder. Is this correct?

The alternative solution that I found is to copy the link of a Lucidchart document in the Lucid environment and paste this link in the appropriate folder of the channel.

Is there another, more efficient way to collaborate with external people (e.g. clients), who should only be able to view the documents (and not edit).

Hi @alexandervandeputte

Thank you for posting in the Lucid Community! Unfortunately, this isn’t currently supported in Lucid, but we’re very interested in your feedback and committed to continually improving our products. If you’re willing to share, we’d love to hear more details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience within this thread. I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

As a workaround, you can can export and download your Lucid documents by following the steps in this Help Center article. Then you can create a folder in Microsoft Teams, and upload the files.

Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:

I’m a new Lucid user and have the same issue. I need to post files directly to my MS Teams SharePoint site and came here looking for a way to do this. It’s hugely inconvenient to post copies of files that then require manual export to keep current.

Hi Debby, as a workaround, I figured out that you can share folders with external people (no documents). Keep in mind that this only works for ‘normal’ folders; not for team folders.

Good luck

Hi @Debby Roseman, Thank you for the additional feedback and @alexandervandeputte for the workaround suggestion!
