When publishing an area of the canvas using the Area Selection method it creates an unsightly colored box around the area during edit and presentation.
It would be good if there was an option to hide these selected areas.

I use the “publish area” feature for dynamically updated documentation, so that colleagues can view the most recent version of a given diagram without having to click out to Lucid. I would publish whole pages, but the Lucid cropping does not work well. The diagrams remain working documents, which means that I am continually editing and updating them, and the red area box is distracting and distorts what the graphic will look like for others.
I do not see why this feature should be any more complicated than treating published areas as additional layers that you can hide or show at will.
