Dot to show intersecting lines

Lucidchart doesn't have native junction dots yet.Lucidchart doesn't have native junction dots yet. Workaround is to manually place a small filled circle shape over the intersection point, use arrow keys to nudge it into place precisely, then group it with the lines so it moves together when you rearrange. Also worth checking Lucidchart's electrical engineering shape library as it may include pre-built junction dots. If not, submit it as a feature request since it's a standard electrical diagram convention and carries weight as a legitimate industry need.

In case this is helpful, I also wanted to share the ability to edit the line style to add the ‘jump’ line option. While this does not specifically create a dot or circle automatically on all intersecting lines as requested, it does add a line jump to the point where the lines intersect. While certainly not exactly what you’re looking for, it may help if you’re looking to indicate lines crossing.

Lastly, I saw you mentioned that submitting a feature request would be a good idea, and I wanted to let you know that this post is currently logged as feedback within our Product Feedback section of this community just as you suggested!

I also would very much like to have this feature (specifically, a “dot” which shows where two lines branch or connect).

When I really need it, the only option I’m aware of is to draw tiny circles and attach the lines to them, but this is incredibly tedious.

The “show line jumps” option is definitely useful (and I appreciate the different gap/round/square options). Having dots at intentional intersections is the natural complement to that feature. But I would suggest not having “dots” work differently than “jumps” (where the jumps are added automatically when two lines cross). I would want each “dot” to be an actual object that one can place, and then connect lines to it (this sounds like the circle hack I described above, but ideally the dot object would snap its center to the grid instead of the circle which snaps its side to the grid). This would allow us to lock the dot’s location.
