Create custom connection points

Your visual examples really help to illustrate just how important this is and how much it would improve your experience, so I appreciate you taking the time to let us know what you’re hoping to see. I understand how dragging lines to different parts on a shape does not work for your use case and for many technical diagrams.

For me it is unbelievable this does not exist yet, looks like a basic feature to me. Moving objects is a real pain and costs a lot of time now. Also putting the connections a little on their place is a real struggle. For network diagrams this extremely time consuming. But hey, at least Lucid has AI in it 😆

I’m excited to provide an update here! Advanced line styling, custom lines & connection points are now available in Lucid!

Please check out this Lucid Help Center article: Add and style lines in Lucidchart for more information on custom line patterns, new jump styles, precise text placement, and expanded support for legacy line endpoints. You can now also define precise connection points on any shape.
