When you view a LucidChart in the Confluence Plugin (rich viewer in view mode) and it has linked text, the links do not work in a usable way. If you can see the whole diagram then when you click the link, it pops up a small modal in the top or bottom left corner of the diagram. This is irritating, because people expect that clicking a link takes you to the link, not that it will quietly popup a model away from the link that you can easily miss if you don’t know to look for it. In addition, if the diagram is large and you have zoomed in to be able to read the text and you click on link text, the modal will often popup outside area of the plugin window and you do not see the modal at all. If you scroll up or down or zoom out, then you will see the model appear. Again, not something that anyone would ever expect.

The net result is that the links only sometimes appear to work and when they do work they work in a non-standard and confusing way. This is currently not really a usable feature.

It would be great if clicking on linked text just took the user to the linked URL rather than requiring 2 clicks. If that is not possible and you have to show the modal with the URL, then can you please show the modal near the link text that the user clicked on so that they can see it? Contact me if you want me to show you an example of what I am seeing.

I also posted this as a question here:

But I did not receive any useful answers.

Hi @Timothy.Potter8, thanks for this idea on changing behavior to text links in Confluence! Indeed, currently clicking on a text link opens a modal with the URL that requires to be clicked on again to be open. We encourage anyone else who’s interested in this to upvote this post and share any additional details about your use case or what you’d like to see in this experience. For more information about how we manage feedback in this community, please take a look at this post:

However, regarding the behaviour you experience when zooming in, we have responded in the thread you have linked in this post for further investigation.

Cheers!
