Here is my idea:  Rightsizing (automatically) a recently created flowchart box (entity) to best fit the text entered into the box.  Instead of pulling the edges around (up and down) until the text is best accomodated by the dimensions of the box, we could automate this function so that tapping on one symbol to resize the box around the recenlty entered text.  For example, we might place a symbol or logo in the next shape menu-dot on the edeges of the shape and when we tap on that the box will automatically resize to be optimally wrapped around the recently entered text.

Utility:  This will really speed up the process-map capture process that a facilitator-mapper is trying to accomplish while his or her client is talking about the process.  This may speed up the process so much that the mapping may be able (depending on the typing speed of the facilitator) to capture the map realtime as the conversation about the process unfolds.

Why does my perspective matter:  I am a government improvement professional who has recently transitioned from Visio to Draw IO to Lucid Chart/Spark and I make my living using value stream mapping to identify opportunities for process improvement and bring the procedures bieng improved to life in the minds of the public servants.  When their processes come to life they get work PTSD and get really engaged.  We know mapping in ReEngine and we believe that this suggestion will really, really help and speed up the use of Lucid in many other operations, to include IT application mapping (as part of Kanban’s and other improvement efforts).

Call or email me if you like.  I am happy to explicate:

Thank you sincerely, Alfredo
