When creating matrix organizational charts it would be very helpful to be able to group records in a smart container or org chart group view by multiple fields. For instance in an org chart group view it would be great to group a large organization by department and then by team. Or as another example group people by region and then office.

Do you mean grouping by A and B, or grouping by A or B?
Grouping org charts by organisational nodes, like teams or functions is already possible. Done this yesterday.
