Hi how do you add a dotted underline to my text?

We do not have a specific feature for dotted underlines on text but you can free draw a dotted line under your text and that will work as a text underline.  Use the "L" key to free draw the line and from there you will want to group the two items so you can move them together.  Let me know if this does not make sense.

We're always looking for ways to improve Lucidchart through user feedback. If this is something you'd like to see added to Lucidchart in the future would you mind adding your suggestions to our product feedback area of the community? Our team uses this to combine like requests from users and present them to our product development team for consideration.

I would also like to change to a dotted underline, as this would be useful to show a tooltip when drawing wireframes.

Hey @Romuel! Thank you for reaching out to the Lucid Community! We greatly appreciate your continued interest in the dotted underline functionality, especially for wireframing use cases.

While a native dotted underline feature hasn't been implemented just yet, the workaround provided by Karsten above is still fully functional and your best bet for achieving this right now! (Just press the "L" key to draw a line, change the line style to dotted, and group it with your text just underneath).

To make sure your feedback gets the right visibility, I have converted this thread into an 'Idea' post. This will allow other users who want this feature to upvote it, and it ensures our development team can see the continued interest for future product updates. Please feel free to upvote it at the top of the page!

Let me know if you have any questions or need help setting up that workaround. We're here to help!

All the best,

Justin J.
