Quite often, I navigate through a dashboard that I can edit in general, while I just want to review a few things, and accidentally change something (drag-and-drop is the most often case). In such situations, I’m missing a way to quickly change into read-only mode. I change the …/edit in the URL to …/view, but it doesn’t feel consistent. A dedicated control that does this would be very appreciated (and probably easy to add). Thank you in advance.

I’d like the diagram to default to view mode with the ability to copy/paste and follow links. A UI element could switch it to edit mode.

Something else I want to mention here in case it is helpful - For anyone who might be struggling with accidentally moving objects when navigating their document, one option is locking objects in place. There is no option currently to switch into/out of a read-only mode, but locking objects might help. To learn more about this option, I would recommend reading the Organize and arrange objects article from the Lucid Help Center.
