I would like to request the addition of standard mechanical engineering symbols to Lucidchart/Lucid, especially for creating mechanical system diagrams and dynamic models.
Useful symbols would include:
- Mass blocks
- Springs
- Dampers
- Ground/fixed supports
- Translational and rotational joints
- Force and displacement arrows
- Mechanical linkages
- Simple actuator symbols
- Other common mechanical system modeling elements
These would be very helpful for users working on mechanical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, control systems, and vibration modeling. At the moment, these types of diagrams often have to be created manually using basic shapes, which takes extra time and does not always look clean or standardized.
Adding a dedicated mechanical symbols library would make it easier to create clear, professional diagrams for reports, teaching, research, and technical documentation.
