This feature would be nice to showcase a diagram to external clients without showing the entire process, or specific processes that you want to keep as behind a paywall for example, or maybe you have some processes that are part of IP that you cannot share publicly, but still want to show how it all interacts with the rest of the system.

The idea is to add the option to “hide text”. This feature already exists in Lucidchart: when you zoom out too much, the text stops being rendered and is replaced by gray rectangles (see image below).

It would be nice to be able to select specific shapes or text blocks and toggle “hide text” to replace them with those rectangles. It is a very clean way to hide some critical information that you do not want to share.

Thanks!

Hi @adamemoustaine, thank you for this idea! Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us and we’re committed to continually improving our products.

This may not be exactly what you are looking for, but in case it proves useful to you, there is an option to hide content in a container. You can select the eye icon from the Context Toolbar as shown below. No one will be able to see the content of the container unless you select the eye icon to unhide the content. It may be helpful to review this article for more information on using containers!
