I have worked on a shape library that implements the elements of a particular diagram notation style (EDGY, see: www.enterprise.design). I’d like to share the library with the community of EDGY users so they can create EDGY diagrams in Lucidchart. I know I can expose a collection of SVG files, so others can compose a shape library on their own, but my goals is to submit a lucidchart shape library. As per an earlier discussion in the community, this is not possible today.

My request is to make ‘exporting’ and ‘importing’ of a shape library possible. Or, indeed, a group of libraries.

Hi @Club Traveller

Thank you for posting in the Lucid Community! If you are on a Team or Enterprise account you can share custom libraries with users on your account. You can do this by going to More Shapes > The library you want to share > Click share in the top right-hand corner.

If you are hoping to share the shape library with users outside of your team this unfortunately isn't currently supported. If you would like to see the option to share custom shape libraries with all users you can post this as an idea in our Product Feedback section. These ideas passed on to the product development team for their consideration.

As a workaround you can share a Document with them with all the shapes in one of the document pages.

Once your collaborator accesses the document they can go ahead and add those shapes to their own custom shape libraries by following the steps outlined in this Help Center article

Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

Thanks,

I had seen that reply in an earlier Community question. I thought I was providing product feedback through this post. I actually clicked the product feedback link in the older reply.

What is the product feedback procedure?

Hi @Club Traveller

Thanks for your post, and apologies for the confusion. I’ve converted this post to an idea so that it can be used as feedback. For future reference you can make feature requests by adding a post as an idea to our Product Feedback section.

Please first search the product feedback space (with the filter Topic Type = Idea) to see if it’s already been submitted. If so, please add any additional details you’d like and upvote the request - this consolidtion helps to refine feedback and properly capture the popularity of the request.
