I have noticed if a selection box touch a frame it selects it. It's quite cumbersome because it generate a lot of mis-selection when trying to select the content of a frame only.

  • Behavior in Powerpoint: only what is entirely inside the selection is selected
  • Behavior in Miro: only frame entirely inside the box selection is selected but object touched by a box selection is selected even if it is not entirely inside the box
  • Behavior in Lucidspark: anything touching a box selection is selected

I think Powerpoint behavior is the best because it easier to select only 1 object when several objects are overlapping. But at least Miro prevent mis-selection in frame.

Hi @Alexandre Fernandez, thanks for continuing this thread and voicing your support. I wanted to share one workaround that you might find helpful in replicating this behavior, which is to lock the frame on your canvas. Then you’ll be free to select and move objects in and around the frame, but won’t be able to move the frame itself. I’ve demonstrated this in the GIF below:

Hi Marc

Thanks for posting in the Lucidpark Community!

The behavior you described is expected and not a bug. However we are always looking for ways to make Lucidspark more useful and effective for our users and your feedback is the best way for us to do that.

I’ve also converted this post to an idea so that it’s visible to others within the Product Feedback section of the community - from here, they can upvote it and add details of their own.

Finally, for more information on how Lucid manages feedback via this community, take a look at this post:

Thanks for your request and I apologize for any inconvenience this causes you!

Totally agree with this request. I come from Miro and frame management overall is much better handled there.
