Will the MCP "edit node" feature be coming to the standard REST API?

Hi everyone,

I've been looking at the capabilities of the new Lucid MCP server and noticed it currently supports editing, adding, and deleting shapes/nodes in a document.

Is there a plan to make this direct node-editing functionality available programmatically via standard REST API endpoints? I know there is the AI-driven Edit Document API, but I'm specifically hoping for traditional REST endpoints to update nodes without needing to pass natural language instructions through an LLM.

I found similar request here

Any insights on if this is on the roadmap would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Cheers Tobi

Hello Tobi, sorry for the delay.

I can confirm that this functionality is on our roadmap, but we do not yet have a ETA of when we expect it to become available.
