Update Metadata via MCP

Question

I would like the ability to update metadata via the MCP.

I am working on creating dynamic documentation to visualize the configuration of some software and would like ability for my AI tool to scan the software for any new configuration and be able to make updates. In the meta data we hold if it is an Automation Rule, Metric etc, which dictates its color and shape and layer. right now we have to redraw the drawing each time, which becomes tricky and costly if we make manual changes to the AI created document.

Hello Heidiwho,I have passed this request on to our internal teams responsible for developing the MCP Server. They are currently working on a number of improvements to its capabilities which will roll out over the next few months. I believe this functionality will be included in those enhancements, but have no ETA at this time.Of course, given the fast moving nature of development for AI tooling, I can’t guarantee it will be included.
