Monthly Subscriptions and Payments for Lucid Software Customers in India

Lucid Software is only offering annual subscriptions in India at the moment.



As you may be aware on October 1 2021 a rule change by the Reserve Bank of India came into effect that is designed to fight fraud and prevent unwanted recurring payments. As a result there were additional requirements placed on banks financial institutions and payment gateways. While some institutions have updated their systems to meet the new requirements some are still working on it. Because the current banking regulations in India block merchant-initiated transactions (such as monthly subscription renewal charges) we are only offering annual plans to users in India at the moment. We apologize for the inconvenience.






If you are in India & your payment for your annual subscription is failing:




If you find that your payment for an annual plan is failing it is possible this is because your bank has not approved the transaction:





  1. If a payment for a renewal for an existing subscription is failing you should have received an email from us with the subject line: “Action required! Your payment has been declined.” Please check the email (including spam and junk folders) of the Account Owner for this message as it will contain more details and a customized payment link to allow you to make the payment.


  2. If a payment for a new subscription is failing you can contact our billing team to receive a secure form to try a different card or you can reach out to your bank to understand why they are flagging the charge and to lift the hold. In general we do not receive very detailed information on declines from the banks so we don’t have much additional insight as to why the charge is declining and we do not have the ability to remove the hold from our end.
