Hi Everyone!

Is it possible to add tags to objects within Lucidchart?

For example, if we have team members ‘John’ and ‘Bob’ as different objects on an org chart can we add the tag “Team 1” to both of them? And then if we were to view the tag ‘Team 1’ would we see the objects ‘John’ and ‘Bob’ listed?

Not sure if this is a feature available within Lucidchart, or if anything similar can be done for team categorization?

Thank you!

Hi @mediascaling

Direct tagging of individual objects within a document is not possible, you can also give a try with options like

Utilize grouping and labeling by combining objects (e.g., 'John' and 'Bob') and labeling the group ('Team 1'). Instead, create separate layers for each team, toggling visibility to focus on specific teams. Custom shapes with embedded tags in names or descriptions also enable search functionality.

For advanced tagging and categorization, consider exploring Lucidspark, offering enhanced flexibility in organizing and tagging content.

Good morning,

In addition to what @Humas1985 said, I would also like to recommend using our universal canvas option to toggle between the functionalities of Lucidchart and Lucidspark. This would allow you to add tags, and go back to editing within Lucidchart.
