This post will provide instructions on how to migrate your Confluence Server or Data Center integration from the legacy EU Data Center to the new data residency region on which all users will access Lucid from lucid.app, regardless of which region their data is stored in at rest. To learn more about how this may affect your legacy EU data center account, refer to our Data residency for Lucid article.

Note: The migration steps outlined below must be completed AFTER the account has been migrated to lucid.app.

You will first need to unlink the Confluence integration on lucidapp.eu. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to lucidapp.eu.
  2. Select Admin
  3. Click on App Integration from the left-hand menu.
  4. Select Lucidchart from the dropdown.
  5. Locate the “Confluence Server” tile and select Manage.
  6. Click Unlink.

Then, you will manually update the Confluence integration to version 1.27.0 (if it's not at that version already):

  1. Navigate to “Manage Apps” in your Confluence settings.
  2. Look for the “Installed version” for the Lucidchart plugin.
  3. If your installed version isn’t 1.27.0, click Update

Next, you will update the Environment Configuration page within Confluence. To do so:

  1. Navigate to <baseUrl>/admin/plugins/lucidchart/environmentconfig.action where <baseUrl> is the base URL of your Confluence instance.
  2. Update the selection in the dropdown to lucid.app.

Now you will configure the Lucidchart app within Confluence:

  1. Log in into your Confluence instance as an admin.
  2. Click the gear icon on the top-right of the page.
  3. Select Manage apps from the left-hand menu under “Atlassian Marketplace”.
  4. Select the Lucidchart plugin dropdown arrow.
  5. Click the Configure button.
  6. Select the Configuration tab at the top of the page.
    • On the page that appears, you should see your username.
      • Note: If your username doesn’t appear, a generic login button should be present. You will be directed to the Lucid login page where you will need to log into your account.
  7. Click Grant access to give Confluence access to your Lucidchart account.

The final set of steps will be checking in Lucid to ensure the connection is properly set up.

  1. Log in to lucid.app.
  2. Click on App Integration from the left-hand menu.
  3. Select Lucidchart from the dropdown.
  4. Locate the “Confluence Server” tile and select Manage.
  5. A Confluence integration page will open, on which if you see the option to “Unlink”, your connection is properly set up.

Congrats! You have now successfully migrated your Confluence Server or Data Center integration to the Lucid data residency region.
