I am having an issue with my ERD exporting to PostgreSQL. About one-half (8 of 15) FK relationships are not exporting, and ultimately are not created.

How do we verify the connections are made between the two. For instance, I connect the PK of the sub-table to an FK in the primary table visually but, when exporting, that relationship disappears.

When exporting a CSV from my manually created ERD, the relationships appear in the appropriate columns. So, this suggests to me the code export to PostgreSQL is the primary issue.

I have screenshots and the various code documents to send but, would appreciate answers being published here for the next person.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @jerryhall, thanks for your post! I am sorry that you are encountering this issue and I’ll be happy to help.

In order for us to have a closer look, could you please share a screenshot of one of the problematic connections on the canvas as well as a snippet of the export where the connection should appear but is not included?

Looking forward to your response!

It appears, which I learned from other posts I can’t immediately find, that when importing a postgresql schema query to create an ERD, that one-to-one relationships are not drawn.

This makes it really difficult to understand an ERD.

Also, when clicking the Auto-Arrange feature, the relationship lines all appear at the top or bottom of the various table illustrations, not at the PK/FK or other connectors.

The combination of these two things makes it difficult to use the ERD function, especially when creating my own ERD manually, creating the databases, then generating the query and having all the one-to-one relationships missing.

If this has been an identified bug, what can we do in the interim and is there a fix coming anytime soon?

Thanks!

Hi @jerryhall, thanks for your reply!
