“The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to lucid.app.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.”

Hi Kira

Here are some steps to resolve the issue with the page that isn’t redirecting properly:

1. Enable Cookies

Make sure that cookies are enabled in your browser. Lucidchart relies on cookies for authentication and functionality.

Chrome:

1. Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.
2. Ensure that "Allow all cookies" or "Block third-party cookies in incognito" is selected.

Firefox:

1. Go to Options > Privacy & Security.
2. Under "Cookies and Site Data," select "Accept cookies and site data from websites."

2. Clear Cache and Cookies

Sometimes, stored cache and cookies can cause issues. Try clearing them:

Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data. Select "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," then click "Clear data."

Firefox: Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data.

3. Check Extensions

Disable any browser extensions, especially ad blockers or privacy-focused ones, that might be blocking cookies or redirects.

Open Lucidchart in an incognito or private browsing window to see if an extension is causing the problem.

4. Try a Different Browser

If the issue persists, try logging in with a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) to see if the problem is browser-specific.

5. Clear Redirect History

Some browsers store redirect information. Clearing this history may help:

Firefox: Type about:config in the address bar, search for network.http.redirection-limit, and ensure the value is set to a reasonable number (e.g., 20).

6. Update Your Browser

Ensure your browser is up-to-date. An outdated browser may cause redirect issues.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Ria

I’d like to enable cookies JUST for Lucid. I see some cookies come from Lucid.app.

What other sites do I need to include in my ‘sites allowed to use third party cookies’?

Hi @fc24336

You can consider including these in your  ‘sites allowed to use third party cookies’:

  • lucid.app – This is the primary domain for Lucidchart, Lucidspark, and Lucidscale.
  • lucidchart.com – Some legacy functions and integrations may still use this domain.
  • lucidspark.com – If you use Lucidspark alongside Lucidchart, this ensures seamless access.
  • lucid.co – Used for authentication, API calls, and integrations.
  • google.com (if using Google Sign-in) – If you authenticate via Google, allowing cookies for Google may be necessary.
  • microsoftonline.com (if using Microsoft Sign-in) – If you sign in via Microsoft, this ensures authentication functions properly.
